With autumn comes cozy sweatshirts, turning leaves, hay rides, hot apple cider and pumpkin spice everything. In terms of makeup and fashion, it brings comfy oversized sweaters, tall brown boots, rich maroons and purples, dark oranges and deep berry tones.
I used my favorite classic fall eyeshadow colors to create this makeup look with my Lorac Pro 2 palette. To finish the look, I paired it with a neutral blush and a warm nude lip. This shadow combination would also complement a deep mahogany lipstick, but I wanted to keep it simple for an everyday fall look.
Before I began my eye makeup I put on foundation, concealer and set it with translucent powder. The foundation I am pictured wearing is L’Oréal Infallible Pro-Matte foundation, set with Rimmel Stay Matte pressed powder. I also filled in my brows with the Anastasia Brow Wiz.
Before you put on eyeshadow it is super important to use eyeshadow primer to prevent fallout, creasing and to keep your shadow in place. I cannot stress enough how important this step is! If you’ve never used eyeshadow primer you should definitely start because it will change your life. My favorite primer is the Urban Decay Primer Potion in the Original Color.
After applying primer, use a fluffy shadow brush to apply the color “Nectar” all over the lid. I’m normally not a fan of melon or orange shadows but I think in this case it really compliments the Plum shadow and brings some contrast and dimension to the look.
Next, use a crease shadow brush to apply the color “Plum” to the crease of your eyelid. I love wearing purple shadow but I’m usually a little afraid of it! I love how purple brings out yellow tones in blue or blue-green eyes. It makes them look so much brighter and greener.
Use another fluffier brush to apply the color “Cocoa” to the outer corners of your lids and smoke it out. I love a deep brown smokey eye; it is still sultry but looks a lot more sophisticated than loading up your lids with dark black shadow.
Use a smaller more precise shadow brush to also apply “Cocoa” to your lower lash line. Put it more heavily on the outermost part of your lash line. Smudge it and blend it out as well.
The last step for the eyeshadow look is to use another small brush to highlight the inner corners of your lid with “Beige.” Blend it onto the inner part of your lid as well as your lower lash line. I also put some on my brow bone as a highlight.
Eyeliner and Mascara
To finish off your eye makeup put on eyeliner, mascara and curl your lashes. I used L’Oreal Infallible Never Fail Eyeliner on my bottom lash line and used L’Oreal Lineur Intense Felt Tip Liquid to create a wing on my upper lid.

Bronzer, Blush and Lips
To complete the look I contoured my cheekbones using a Nyx bronzer and put a warm blush on my cheeks. The lipstick I’m wearing is Maybelline Colorsensational in “Warm Me Up.” This is definitely one of my favorite lip colors right now! It’s super versatile and has a gorgeous pigmented color. It is a dupe for MAC’s Brave Lipstick. I really want to try this eye makeup look with a deep berry lip! I will have to do an update if I try it.
